A wonderful opportunity for students between the ages of 17 to 29 years to participate in a community based intercultural exchange program between six weeks to six months.
Youth Leaders in Action:
A reciprocal exchange program which includes volunteer projects focused on health, environment or gender equity. This 6-month program includes two phases: 3 months in a community in Canada and 3 months overseas. Young people, aged 17 to 29, are grouped in teams of 18 youth, 9 Canadians and 9 youth from the partner country, and they are accompanied by two project supervisors. Partner countries include Indonesia, Vietnam, Mali, Ghana, Benin, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Ukraine, Bolivia, Honduras, Nicaragua and Peru. This initiative is possible thanks to the support of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
Short Program | Canada World Youth is recruiting for a short program in Benin: Canada World Youth is recruiting for an intercultural exchange program which includes volunteer projects focusing on environmental issues. This 6-week program in Akodéha, Benin, includes: living with a host family, community work and experiential education. We are building teams of 18 youth between the ages of 18 and 25 that will be accompanied by two supervisors. Youth must be available from March 10 to April 30, 2012 (includes orientation camp and debriefing in Canada).

Develops international education and training for youth from high schools, colleges, universities and youth organizations. CWY organizes customized programs ranging from 2 weeks to 3 months for group of youth aged 15 and up. Young participants volunteer on development projects which focus on environment, health or equity. Partner countries include Benin, Ghana, South Africa, India, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Honduras, and Peru
