Longhouse Leadership Program

The Longhouse Leadership Program (LLP) focuses on developing leadership skills for working in Aboriginal contexts. The Longhouse Leadership Program graduated twelve leaders last year. The LLP has 3 core seminars, 4 electives, and 12 hours of service learning that can be completed over two years. Accomplishments of the Longhouse Leaders have included attending the UBC Ropes Course, presenting at the UBC Student Leadership Conference (SLC), and networking with many campus and community organizations (Equity Office, Access & Diversity Office, Xw7Xwa Indigenous Scholars Speaker Series, the Canadian Critical Race Initiatives, Faculty of Arts – First Nations Studies Program, UBC Division of Health Care, Indigenous Graduate student conferences, UBC Childcare, Aboriginal student organizations, and other community organizations).
